pioggia notturna (ital. for nightly rain) is part of Filippo Mazzasette’s 2023 solo exhibition »anemoia«. It consists of 10 artworks in total.

The rain is a reoccurring phenomena in Mazzasette’s work. The nightly rain, a companion throughout his childhood is something that he still cherishes to this day. This artwork is a hommage to it. It’s gentle- or intense tapping against windows, when inside are a constant reminder of how lucky he feels, having a home. It creates patterns and silhouettes making his mind wander, getting lost in the flow. At night, when our sight takes a backseat, imagination takes over. It’s here when he feels most creative.
