rinascimento & rinascimento II (ital. for rebirth) is part of Filippo Mazzasette’s 2023 solo exhibition »anemoia«. It consists of 10 artworks in total.

rinascimento is dedicated to the times spent in museums and galleries, turning page after page in books and just admiring the works of the greats. He always felt a special connection to the arts. The incomprehensible finesse of the artists from so long ago. They preserved their present for generations to come.

This artwork was created to embody a memory of a painting. It’s palette ranges from depictions of earth and sky, sculptures and everything in-between. It’s like a faint memory, as if we lived to see the true glory, but can only remember it vaguely. Yet – it feels just like home.
